Glassford schoolhouse is mentioned in The Carthage Press, February 14, 1895.
Article states that it is located 1/2 mile west of the Jasper County Poor Farm. The
Poor Farm site is currently the Carthage YMCA.
I believe that Glassford school was later known as Prairie View school.
