Range Line school house. This is the smallest school and the smallest house in the county I guess. There
is strong talk of disorganizing the district as it appears impossible to sustain a school; but by disorganizing
some must suffer, as they will then be too far from either Summit or Hackney. Miss Eva White is the teacher
here at $25; fourteen pupils on register.

Summit and Hackney schools were location in the northeastern section of Jasper County. It is assumed that this
early school was located in this part of the county.
Oakland school, located south of Webb City was also known as Range Line School.
