The old Farmers Union school house was nicely papered last Saturday, which
adds much to the appearance of the building.

W. E. Stratton is treating the old Farmers Union school house to a new coat of paint,
which is giving it much the same appearance as that of other days when it was a new,
trim little building in the midst of the prairie, where little children used to crowd lovingly
near their teacher in order to proclaim the fact the "The Lark is Up to Meet the Sun."

The Farmers Union school term closed Friday, April 16, and a picnic was given by the
teacher, Miss Nelle Cook, and pupils, on the banks for Coon Creek at the George
Vincent home, which was a most enjoyable occations.
